LRC «Analytical Center «Radioanalytica»

The Laboratory of radiation control – analytical center «Radioanalytica» (LRC IPCE RAS, certificate of accreditation № САРК RU.0001.44208 pdf) is based on two scientific institutions: A.N. Frumkin Institute of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Radiochemistry Division of Chemistry Department of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov.

INFORMATION

The Laboratory performs radiation measurements and control in accordance with its accreditation including inspection certification of:

  • drinking water (natural and water supply sources, in tanks, bottled water)
  • samples of natural and industrial water (superficial, underground and technological waters, effluents, discharges and wastes)
  • territory (landscapes, agricultural holdings, settlements, radiation control areas)
  • territory of radiation-dangerous objects
  • soils (ground);
  • samples of environmental objects: soils (ground); sediments; vegetation; atmospheric precipitation; construction materials;
  • building sites;
  • scrap metal (ferrous and non-ferrous metals);
  • materials, containing natural radionuclides (minerals, construction materials, refractory products, dross, bauxites, coal, etc);
  • oil-and-gas producing facilities: territory; industrial wastes; contaminated equipment; technological area and routes;
  • technological wastes of oil-and-gas producing facilities.

All measurements are performed with required accuracy and results are verified in accordance with normative acts and documents.

The LRC «Analytical Center  «Radioanalytica» organizes its activity on the basis of scientific and industrial contracts with different facilities, companies and institutes.

LRC’s activity, measurements quality and normality are inspected by Federal Agency of Technical Regulation and Metrology «Rosstandart».

Alpha-spectrometric analysis of soils, liquids and ash samples. Specific activity measurements of thin-layer samples.
Effective range 50-15000 keV.

Semiconductor alpha-spectrometers with PIPS detectors, «SNIIP-Plus»

Measuring of alpha-emitting radionuclides activity in samples. Energy range 0,5-10 MeV. Resolution 35 keV (line 5,5 MeV). Sensitivity 0,01 Bq/probe.


Currently 16 specialists including 8 Doctors of Sciences (Chemistry) are working at the LRC – АС «Radioanalytica».

All instruments have been tested by official organizations and have relevant certificates.
